Boat

The Eurosport hull I would describe as a semi-cathedral design, very stable when stationary and at low speeds, but once out of the water on the plane, it handles like a focussed speedboat. It's the best of both worlds really.

Like other Dell Quays, it is also purported to be practically un-sinkable, which makes these boats a sensible choice for those with little ones.

The whole thing is in amazing condition for its age, which I would estimate to be mid-nineties - the Gelcoat is not discoloured or chalky anywhere, even below the waterline, it's all clean and shiny and there's a custom cover too.

Never antif-fouled, and to be honest it would be a shame to do it now!!

The deck is self draining, although there is a manual pump installed on the inner transom.

The cushions are in great condition, not ruined by the UV light, the area up the front would comfortably seat 4, which means this boat would easily seat 6 including the fold up/down driver seat(s)

Under the seats is lots of storage, for fenders, flares and lifejackets etc, which all locks down using a little key. There is also a small well at the front which would accomodate a folding anchor adequate for this boat.

There is a swim ladder fitted on the transom.

Also she has a stainless steel A-Frame fitted, which could perhaps be used to mount a GPS antenna or navigation lights. Previous owner told me he had used it as a wakeboard towing point, and it happily pulled a skier.

Engine

Whilst the engine is probably nearly 20 years old, it is also exceptionally clean, and has always been flushed with fresh water after each use.

It has electric start, automatic oil injection (which is a real benefit on a smaller engine), kill-cord, new battery, and the alloy prop is very straight, it also has a brand new 5 gallon fuel tank which stows nicely under the centre console, but could also sit behind the rear seats...

The engine pumps water very strongly.

Whilst it has a dashpot/damper, I guess the only this it's perhaps missing would be power tilt, although it really is very easy to lift.

As mentioned above, it is a 50 horsepower (2 cylinder), which is the maximum recommended for this hull, so it really does fly along, 35 - 40 mph one or two up......

The boat also benefits from proper Morse steering.

Trailer

The trailer is an original Snipe item, single axle, and is the "break-back" type, which makes it a absolute sinch to launch single handedly, especially with the boat drawing only a few inchs.

The boat is extremely well balance when on this purpose-built trailer, and can be pushed and pulled around easier by a single adult using the jockey wheel or not.

It also helps to minimise the risk to the car, as when you take it off of the hitch, it's really stable, not wanting to drop or rear-up at all

The boat tows beautifully on the trailer - 25 miles yesterday and there were no issues at all, with the hitch,
